HirShabelle parliament approves first cabinet 

 Hirshabelle state assembly approved a 52 member cabinet Saturday after week-long wrangling over the number of the cabinet.

A majority of the 75 members present in today’s seating approved the cabinet by show of hands paving way for the first government for the newly created state. Three cast a no vote.

President of Hir-Shabelle state, Ali Abdullahi Osoble announced the new cabinet but there have been accusations against him with some questioning the level of consultations with clan elders and other stakeholders.
