Hirshabelle security meeting held in Beledweyn town
Beledweyn town in Hiran region was today held in a large meeting to discuss the security situation of the region.
The meeting was organized by the Ministry of Interior in Hirshabeel, attended by the administration of Beledweyn, Hiraan region and different parts of the society.
The meeting was to cover the role of the society to participate in peace and to protect the safety of Hirshabelle people.
Hiran Governor, Abdullahi Ahmed Maalin Sufow, said the meeting is urgent in Hirshabeel, saying the stabilization is not the only way we are fighting against al-Shabaab but in all ways to eliminate them from the region and all over the country, and we need the society to play the role.
Members of Hirshabelle parliaments alongside with their soldiers were killed in the road between Mogadishu and Jowhar following al Shabaab gunfire on their vehicles last month.
Hirshabelle administration requested a great security support from the national government.
