IGAD delegates hold talks with Interim South West state leadership
The Interim South West State leadership today held talks with Inter Governmental Authority on Development, IGAD officials in the capital Baidoa.
The delegation led by General Gabra has reached Baidoa to hold talks with South-West leaders and traditional elders.
There was tight security as SWS forces were seen patrolling the major streets of Baidoa.
After the meeting Abdullahi Haji Hassan from Centre for Research and Dialogue (CRD), Jamaal Ahmed Ibrahim from IGAD and South-West interior minister jointly held press conference.
They said the main reason IGAD delegates reached the town was to discuss with SWS leaders on how to speed up the process of selecting parliamentarians of Southwest state.
The delegates also met with the traditional elders and members of the civil society of the town.
