IGAD summit due to be held in Mogadishu

The regional leaders of Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) are due to held their Extra-ordinary Summit on Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu earlier on this month.
Foreign affairs ministers of IGAD are expected to reach Mogadishu on Thursday and prepare the agendas of the summit.
Though the issues on this year’s agenda are not yet known some analysts confirm that the summit will focus on security, fight against Al-shabab.
Last year’s 28th Extra-ordinary Summit of the IGAD held in South Sudan focused on clearing the outstanding issues to pave the way for an end to the crisis facing South Sudan, the youngest African nation.
