IGAD’s especial envoy to Somalia exposes his concern over the thorny political situation of Somalia
The special representative of IGAD to Somalia Mohamed Abdi Affey has shown his concern over the complicated political situation of Somalia and the fulfilling of 2016 vision.
The ambassador noted that 2016 vission is close to fail, adding that if that happens, the blame will fall on any department of the Somali government especially the presidential palace, the parliament and the cabinet.
“We released press statement about our anxiety feelings over the knotty political situation of Somalia and the diminishing possibility to fulfil 2016 vission” Affey told BBC in an interview.
Lastly the ambassador urged the government armies such as the parliament and the cabinet to carry out their duties sincerely as per the constitution.
This comes when the federal parliament today granted Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid ten more days to complete his cabinet after he announced ten ministers.
