IJA reaches agreement with opponent politicians
Political reconciliation conference held for IJA administration and IJA opposing politicians was concluded in Dollo town on Friday.
The meeting was organized by Interim Jubba Administration in a bid to iron out the rifts between its leaders and other politicians who were dissatisfied with state formation process.
The sides reached agreement to end the differences between them.
Among the signatories are IJA president, Ahmed Mohamed (Madoobe), his vice president, Gedo governor, Mohamed Abdi Kalil, Mohamed Sayid Adan, the leader of Somali Moderate Islamist group, AhluSunna waljama’a in Gedo,Sheikh Libah.
The sides decided to form coalition government and power-sharing.
Interim Jubba Administration has been facing antagonism from politicians hailing from Gedo region who were dissatisfied with the formation of the state.
There are other politicians who are to deal with, including Barre Adan Shire aka Barre Hiraale who several times engaged gun battle with IJA forces.
