Ilhan Omar speaks out on why she was arrested

Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar were among the people who were arrested while protesting near the Supreme Court. Ilhan confirmed her arrest in a tweet.

“Today I was arrested while participating in a public demonstration. I was arrested along with other members of Congress outside the Supreme Court,” Ilhan said in a tweet.

Ilhan Omar, a member of the American Congress, also said in her writing that she will continue her efforts to get American women to have the right to abort their children.

“I will continue to do everything I can to raise the alarm about the attack on our reproductive rights!”, she added.

MP Ilhan Omar is one of the members of the Democratic Party who is advocating for women to have the right to have an abortion. The US police have confirmed that they have arrested 35 people, including 17 members of Congress.
