Interior Minister Hosh Urges Inclusive Dialogue to Strengthen Somalia’s Peace Efforts

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation minister Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh, has called for inclusive dialogue and stronger community participation to advance the country’s reconciliation and peace building agenda.

Speaking during a meeting in Mogadishu to review upcoming reconciliation programs, Minister Hosh said lasting peace in Somalia depends on the involvement of all segments of society, including traditional elders, civil society, women, and youth.

He urged community leaders to take an active role in resolving local disputes and rebuilding trust, stressing that reconciliation must begin at the grassroots level to sustain national unity.

The review meeting outlined upcoming programs designed to foster cooperation between federal and regional stakeholders as part of Somalia’s broader reconciliation framework.
