GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening local governance, decentralisation, and urban development, highlighting public-private partnerships as a key driver of progress.

Abdulkadir Elmi Ali, the ministry’s director general, said partnerships between government and the private sector were essential to improving public trust and service delivery while supporting economic growth.

“Public-private partnerships are a critical tool to stimulate local economies, create jobs, and build resilient and sustainable cities across Somalia,” Ali said, adding that the ministry would continue to provide policy leadership and coordination nationwide.

The ministry stated that the approach aligns with broader efforts to empower local administrations, expand urban services, and support long-term development nationwide.
