Internal Security Ministry vows to Improve Security

Somalia’s internal security ministry has undertaken measures to tighten the security of the the country especially the capital city, Mogadishu.

Commenting on the security, the spokesman of the ministry, Mohamed Yussuf Osman said that they put more efforts to improve the security of the town and the progression result can be felt.

“The ministry has taken measures to improve the security of the town and this led tangible progress” he said.

He has underlined that the ministry has new plans aimed to improve the security further which is based on modern times adding that there are new ways to prevent terrorist activities that has hurt the Somali population.

This comes less than a month after Suspected Al-Shabab suicide bomber driving a lorry backed with explosives hit at the front gate of Somali presidential Villa where 4 people have been injured with one in serious condition.

The four people confirmed so far wounded were inside SYL Hotel performing Maqrib (evening) prayer when the explosion took place.

Mohmad Dahir, a former Barkulan radio director is confirmed to have sustained light injuries.

A Somali military vehicle went up in flames with claims it might have been hit by the explosion.

Al-Shabab has claimed the responsibility of the attack.
