ISWA to have a PM after federal cabinet is approved, says President Sharif Hassan

Southwest President Sharif Hassan Sheikh Adan said he will name a Prime Minister for his state once the Federal Parliament in Mogadishu confirms the newly proposed Cabinet.

Speaking in Baidoa, Sharif Hassan said the move is aimed at accelerating the work of his administration for the public.

He, however said no foreign ministry position will be named as that is the work of the Federal Government.
ISWA will be the first regional administration in the country to have such post if President Sharif Hassan fulfills his promise.

Many believe the move is meant to diffuse pressure from President Sharif Hassan who is facing challenges from his regional legislative assembly.

He recently persuaded them to drop a motion of no confidence against him promising a cabinet reshuffle among other pledges.
