ISWS minister for religious affairs “Marca reconciliation conference made progress”

Reports from Lower Shabelle region state that reconciliation conference held In Marca town for two brotherly clans is progressing and creating mutual understanding atmosphere which the representatives of the two clans are negotiating well.
There have been clashes between these clans in recent months but initiatives undertaken by the administration and traditional elders have made progress and led the two sides to come to the negotiating table.
President of Interim South-West state Shariif Hassan Sheikh Adan is expect to reach the gathering as take part the conclusion of the meeting.
“The gathering which going on in Marca town, was attended by politicians, elders and civil society and the delegates are about to solve their differences”
ISWS minister for religious affairs, Ahmed Mohamed has told Goobjoog News that president Hassan will visit Marca town within forthcoming days.
