Joint forces capture new areas in Bakol region

Federal government forces and African Union peace-keeping troops have retaken over new areas from Al-shabab in Bakol region.
Bakol region military commander Ahmed Mohamed Osman told Goob Joog FM that the joint forces are fully controlling many areas withdrawn by Al-shabab after Indian ocean operations has started.
Mr. Osman said the joint forces are determined to take over all the areas under the control of Al-shabab in the region.
The Federal government of Somalia has seized over three areas in the Lower Shabelle, Bakol and Hiran regions since the military offensive against Al-shabab launched.
The joint forces is going to capture Barawe district, the stronghold of Al-shabab in the Lower Shabelle region.
