Jubaland announces election schedule for five seats

GOOBJOOG NEWS/KISMAYO: The Jubaland electoral committee has announced the election schedule for 5 of the remaining 43 seats to be held on February 22 in Kismayo.

Jubaland is the only state that has not yet announced elections in the second constituency that is, Garbaharey district, due to what candidates said was influence and intimidation of the spy agency- NISA.

Below are the seats to be elected in the Jubaland constituency on Tuesday:

1. HOP#072 held by Abdirashid Mohamed Hidig.

2. HOP#079 currently held by Farhiyo Hassan Axmes.

3. HOP#112 held by Abdi Aziz Abdullahi Mohamed.

4. HOP#130 held by Mohamed Diriye Khalif.

5. HOP#136 held by Mohamed Abdi Gandi (deceased).
