Jubaland backs PM’S sacking of spy boss Fahad Yasin
GOOBJOOG NEWS|KISMAYO: Jubaland State has hailed Prime Minister Roble’s dismissal of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) Director, Fahad Yasin Haji.
Through a press release issued by the Director of Communication of the Office of the President of Jubaland, the Government of Jubaland has said it appreciates the role played by the Prime Minister in handling the Ikran case.
Jubaland has also said it seeks to make itself clear to the Somali people that the Prime Minister of Somalia is the only person mandated with election security and the general security of the country.
The Jubaland government has also condemned the outgoing President, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo for opposing the sacking of the NISA Director and called for his immediate resignation arguing that it was irresponsible for him to act in such a manner hence promoting oppression and injustice which can lead to disruption of the upcoming elections.
