Jubaland Forces Kill Al-Shabaab Fighters in Lower Jubba Operation

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Security forces from Jubaland State of Somalia carried out an operation against Al-Shabaab fighters in the Kudhaa area of the Lower Jubba region, leaving several militants dead and injured, regional officials said.

The operation involved Darawish forces and intelligence units and was launched after reports that Al-Shabaab fighters had regrouped in several locations in the area.

The joint forces targeted militant hideouts, dismantling their positions and disrupting planned activities by the group.

Authorities in Jubaland said the mission achieved its objectives and inflicted significant losses on the militants during the operation.

The Kudhaa area, located in the Badhaadhe District, had previously been the scene of an attack by Al-Shabaab targeting a base housing Jubaland Darawish forces.
