Jubaland president chairs cabinet meeting
GOOBJOOG NEWS | JUBALAND: The Jubaland president Ahmed Mohamed Islam chaired a cabinet meeting Thursday to discuss the various issues facing the region.
During the meeting, the cabinet tabled a report on the flood relief committee in Bardheere district which has been affected by flooding over the past weeks.
At the same time, the cabinet meeting discussed the security situation in the region where a review was made of the recent operation by security forces against Al-Shabaab terrorists.
During the operation, a number of terrorists were killed and their bases were destroyed after intense fighting.
The members of the cabinet also passed the second reading of the Jubaland Road Authority construction law which was submitted by the Ministry of Public Works and Reconstruction and also amended sections of the law.
