Jubbaland forces announce operation against Al-Shabaab in the region without AMISOM
Jubbaland administration has announced to focus on an operations mission of Jubbaland forces to expand the fight against Al-Shabaab and other security issues in the region.
Jubaland state president Ahmed Mohamed Islam Madoobe told the media that Jubbaland security forces are ready to eliminate the remaining Al Shabaab areas in the region without AMISOM and any other international partners in the mission.
He added that they are ready to welcome anyone to take with the mission but reacted that they are soon starting the operation to expand the areas of fighting against Al-Shabaab to eliminate the terror groups and maintain peace in the region and the whole country.
“We are committed to double the fight against Al-Shabaab and to support the local people who seek to overthrow the Al-Shabaab from their homes,” said president Madobe.
Jubbaland security forces are targeting to take over Bu’aale district from the Al-Shabaab fighters.
Bu’aale town is the headquarter of the Middle Shabelle region and also a strategic place for farming land on the banks of the river Juba.
The last Jubbaland security conference held in Kismayo on 24th Dec 2018 chaired by the state president Ahmed Mohamed Islam Madoobe was attended by Jubbaland official’s government forces and AMISOM officials have agreed to conduct joint operation against Al-Shabaab.
