Jubbaland to set new police posts in districts Lower Jubba

Jubbaland police commissioner, Gaboobe Hassan Barre stated that they would soon deploy police forces to the towns and villages in Lower Jubba region.

These districts come under the control of Jubbaland Administration months ago after Al-shabab fighters who were administrating them driven away by IJA forces backed by AMISOM troops.

“We want to extend our administration, Jubbaland military are flushing out Al-Shabab fighters from those areas therefore we have to send police to maintain law and order in those areas” said Gaboobe.

He added “the regional government intends to set a new police post in several districts and new police commissioners of those districts were already appointed, the commissioners and their members would soon reach those areas”
