Justice and Solidarity Party: What Does it Stand For?

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: The Justice and Solidarity Party (JSP) was unveiled Tuesday night, bringing together political heavyweights at the federal and state levels.

Among the key figures are President Mohamud as the chairman and four other deputies: Prime Minister Hamze Barre, Deputy PM Salah Jama, South West President Abdiaziz Lafta Gareen and Lower House Deputy Speaker Saadiyo Samatar.

What does the party stand for?

The JSP has listed nine priority areas that inform its broader manifesto and development agenda is it secures power in the 2026 presidential elections. There are

  • Completion of the Constitutional review process
  • Enhanced devolution of power to ensure service delivery to the citizens
  • National reconciliation and establishment of a government based on unity.
  • Equality in distribution of resources
  • Economic prosperity, security, and job creation, particularly focusing on agriculture, fisheries, energy, and small-scale businesses.
