Kenya to extradite Al Shabaab commander to Somali government

The government of Kenya is planning to transfer senior Al-shabab member Hassan Hanafi to the federal government of Somalia as government spokesman Ridwan Haji Abdiweli confirmed to the media.
The government spokesman said the Al Shabaab commander will be questioned in Somalia and will face charges after government completes its interrogation.
Hassan Hanafi was arrested in Nairobi on Sunday by Kenyan security forces, he is accused of behind many assassinations against journalist and security personnel in Mogadishu.
The spokesman also said that the arrest of the senior Al- Shabab commander was a result of high level of collaboration and intelligence sharing between the governments of Somalia and Kenya.
