GOOGJOOG NEWS | KHARTOUM: Sudan has said it has suspended cooperation with the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) regarding resolving the current crisis in the country.

Sudanese Acting Foreign Minister Ali Al-Sadiq said in a statement that the move was die to “violations by the IGAD” by including the situation in Sudan on the agenda of the bloc’s upcoming summit scheduled to be held in the Ugandan capital of Kampala on Thursday, without consulting Sudan.

Sudan also referred to the IGAD’s invitation to the commander of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, to attend the summit, calling it “a dangerous precedent in the history of the IGAD and regional and international organizations.”

On Saturday, Sudan officially objected to the upcoming IGAD summit in Kampala, which would discuss the situation in Sudan.
