King Charles III Congratulates Somalia on Its Independence Anniversary
GOOBJOOG NEWS/LONDON: The King of the United Kingdom King Charles III has congratulated the people of Somalia on the anniversary of the independence being marked in various parts of the country today.
The King noted that the United Kingdom and Somalia continue to enjoy cordial relations for the benefit of current and future generations.
“Mr. President, as you and the people of Somalia celebrate the special occasion of your national independence day, my wife and I have great pleasure in conveying our heartfelt congratulations to Your Excellency and the Somali people.
I value the bond between our nations, and hope that our countries can continue to work closely together on important global issues, whether they be peace and prosperity, or environment and climate change, which will benefit our future generations for years to come.
My wife and I would like to take this opportunity to send you and all Somalis our warmest good wishes for the coming year,” King Charles III said.
Meanwhile foreign embassies including the UK, US, Turkey and the United Nations have also sent their congratulations to the people of Somalia on their 64th independence anniversary.
