Kuwait calls for respect on Somalia’s sovereignty, political independence

Kuwait government has once again called for respect for the sovereignty and independence of Somalia, following a meeting of the Security Council in Somalia in New York.

Counselor Nawaf Al-Ahmed, a regular delegation of Kuwait’s UN envoy to the United Nations, addressed the meeting yesterday calling for the strengthening of political and economic support for the Somali government, to rebuild the institutions of government to ensure security and stability in the country.

On the other hand,Kuwait government commended the Somali government’s positive efforts to prepare the country for a general election in 2020-2021.
