Somali Prime Minister holds bilateral talks with Turkish Foreign Minister in Istanbul

Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ramtane Lamamra held Friday, in Istanbul, talks with Somalia Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Sharmarke who informed him about the recent developments of the political and security situation in Somalia, said a communiqué of Foreign Affairs Ministry.

The two sides also broached “cooperation between the two countries,” added the source.

The talks took place on the sidelines of the 13th Summit Conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to which Algeria is taking part with a delegation chaired by the Speaker of the Council of the Nation Abdelkader Bensalah as a representative of President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
