Lower House Speaker meets with UAE Ambassador to Somalia

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: The Speaker of the House of the People of the 11th Parliament of the Federal Government of Somalia Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe) today met with Mohamed Ahmed Othman Al Hammadi, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Somalia in Mogadishu.

The Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Somalia congratulated the Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Aden Mohamed Nur, on his election on April 27, 2022.

The meeting discussed the current situation in the country, especially the upcoming presidential election and ways to redouble efforts to develop the country and strengthen relations between the two brotherly countries.

Since his election to the helm of the Lower House, Sheikh Aden Madobe has held a number of meetings in Mogadishu with several Somali leaders, and has also met with some international community representatives to discuss the upcoming presidential election.
