Madobe Appoints New Commissioner to Badhaadhe District as FGS Deploys Troops
GOOBJOOG NEWS|KISMAYO: Jubaland President Ahmed Madobe has appointed a new commisioner to Badhadhe district shortly after his re-election as the Federal Government deployed troops there.
Madobe appointed Hassan Nur Abdi as the new district commissioner of Badhaadhe District in one of his newest administrative actions, hours after he was sworn in Monday evening.
The appointment of a new DC follows the deployment of federal troops to Ras Kamboni area which falls under Badhaadhe district. The soldiers are expected to fill the security gaps following the exit of Kenyan troops under the ATMIS framework.
Tensions between the federal government and Jubaland have escalated following the Cabinet’s declaration Monday nightthat the election of Madobe was ‘illegal’. The Cabinet has since directed the Attorney General to file a suit in the High Court.
