Mandera leaders instructed Janan to vacate Mandera County
Mandera County authorities have directed that the Jubbaland state minister for security had to leave Kenya’s territory. Kenya Parliamentarians and senators in Mandera town held a press conference on late Monday afternoon over the fugitive minister that destabilized Mandera security.
“It is illegal to bring armed militias to a country while they have destroyed their own country, we demanded minister Janan and his army urgently leave Mandera and Let him go anywhere else before we take action”. Governor of Mandera Ali Roba said.
The officials also noted that former Jubaland security minister and Jubbaland vice president Mohamud Sayid Adan were staying in a hotel in Mandera, and pointed out that security breaches were never allowed by the public they represent.
The authorities in Mandera suggested that the gunmen had either take possible action against them or militias leave the area immediately.
The Somali federal government has previously called on Kenya to help in the process of Abdirashid Janan arrest, who escaped from a prison in Mogadishu on January 28th.
