Marka administration urges its residents to come back their homes after they have fled from clashes

Marka town administration has called on the residents of the town to come back to their homes safely after they have fled from clashes in the town last week.

Hassan Omar, the district commissioner of Marka town said: “the security in the town is now stable and reliable.”

Hassan Omar added that the government forces are in control of the town to secure the security of the people.

“People who come to the town have started adapting the safety, I want people to understand that the troops have come to restore the rules and orders in the town, and we look forward to secure the security of the town,” said Hassan.

More than 50 families were displaced last week in some of the suburbs in Marka an ancient port town in the southern Lower Shabelle of Somalia.

These people have fled clashes between in the Somali Federal Government forces and Al-Shabaab fighters in some parts of the town.
