Military court executes three Al-shabab members
Three members of members of Al-shabab who were accused of killing government officials and masterminding fatal attacks against government bases were on Sunday executed by Somali military court after they were found guilty.
The execution that took place at general Kahiye police academy was presided by Somali military court officials and other government officials.
Adan Mohamed Hassan and Bashir Hassan Mohamed were accused of killing Somali lawmaker named Abdiaziz in Dharkenley district and the murder of finance ministry official while the third person Hassan Muhidin is accused of organizing attack on Somali presidential palace last month.
After the execution, the chairman of the military court Liban Ali Yarrow holding press conference at general Kahiye police academy said the executed members carried out assassinations and planned attacks in Mogadishu adding that they pleaded guilty before the court.
Last week Somali military court has carried death penalty on four convicted Al-shabab members who were found guilty.
