Minister Gelle addressed yesterday attacks in Mogadishu

 

The minister of information affairs of the federal government of Somalia, Dahir Mohamud Gelle addressed about the explosions and attacks by Al-Shabaab yesterday in the capital Mogadishu.

The minister said security forces were praised for stopping the attack on the front line between the Ceelgaabta and SYL in Mogadishu.

“The National Security Forces are praised how they gave prevented the Al-Shabaab attacks, consisting of a direct and double blast, and the troops succeeded in stopping the attackers. After the heavy exchange of bullets, one of the two suicide bombers exploded near the outskirts of SYL, as well the Somali forces have assassinated of several al-Shabaab militants at the scenes “Said the minister.

Meanwhile, Guelleh said the federal government will address the concern of the civilian casualties who have been involved in these explosions.

Al-Shabaab carried out two separate attacks in the last two weeks in the capital Mogadishu and targeted government bases.
