Minister Muqtar Robow receives Norwegian Ambassador to Somalia

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: The Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, Sheikh Mukhtar Robow Ali, today received in his office a delegation from the Norwegian Government led by the Norwegian Ambassador to Somalia, Haakon Svane.

The Norwegian Ambassador was accompanied by the Special Envoy of the Norwegian Government for Somali Affairs, Heidi Johansen and Mr. Ole Lindeman, the former Norwegian Ambassador to Afghanistan.

The meeting focused on strengthening and enhancing cooperation between the Government of Somalia and the Government of Norway, especially in the fight against terrorism, among other issues.

The Religious and Endowment Minister reiterated his government’s commitment to eliminate Al-Shabaab both ideologically and militarily in order to cripple the enemy, thanking the Norwegian government for the continued support it has continued to extend to Somalia in it’s fight against eradicating terrorism.

The Norwegian Ambassador on his part reiterated his government’s support to the Somali government and it’s people in ensuring that stability is achieved in the country through cooperation between the two governments.
