Minister of Defense appoints a new director-general for the ministry

The Minister of Defense of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Ali Mohamed has yesterday appointed Jihan Abdullah Hassan as the new director of the Ministry of Defense.

Minister Hassan asked all government agencies to closely work with the director-general of the Ministry of defence Jihan Abdullah Hassan.

The new director Jihan Abdullah Hassan is replacing Warsame Mohamud Hassan who was before the acting director-general of the ministry.

Jihan becomes the first woman to be appointed such major appointment in the ministry of defence.
