Minister of Post, Telecommunication meets Chinese Ambassador to Somalia

Minister of Post, Telecommunication and Technology of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Eng. Abdi Anshur Hassan on Wednesday met Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, H.E. Qin Jian here in Mogadishu.

The Minister and Chinese Ambassador discussed key issues including strengthening ties between the two friendly countries and in particular, areas on telecommunication and technology in our country.

“The plans in which the Ministry wants to get support include how China could assist us in developing the infrastructure our telecommunication and technology and improving knowledge in those areas”, Mr Hassan said.

The Chinese Ambassador promised that he was ready to work how these the two nations would have effective cooperation.

Other officials from National Telecommunication Agency were accompanying the minister.

Somalia and China share a long historic friendship based on mutual cooperation that started on December 14, 1960
