Ministry of interior declared to support free and fair elections in regional states

The Ministry of Interior, Federalism and Reconciliation issued a statement today has declared to closely watch the elections in the regional states and support all the states in the implementation of free and fair elections in accordance with the constitution of the country.

The Ministry of Interior, Federalism and Reconciliation to fulfil its constitutional duties to closely follow the federalism process and the country’s elections.

The Ministry of Interior will support all state governments in achieving the upcoming elections and which will we hope to be transparent, free, and fair with the constitution of the country.

The department also highlights the importance of respecting the constitution and protects the office to ensure that elections are held on the time allocated to avoid any action that could lead to an extension.

The ministry also calls on the leaders of the Galmudug state to end the newly disagreement and call on them to return to the agreement signed in Villa Somalia on 06/12/2017 and implement all the plans of that agreement.

This comes a time when there is no cooperation between the federal government and the regional states in the country.
