Mogadishu-Afgooye road to be completed in 2 months-PM Khaire
The Qatari funded road construction linking Mogadishu and Afgooye will be completed in two months’ time, Prime Minister Hassan Khaire has said.
The PM said the 30-kilometre stretch is now nearing completion and will be open for public use early 2020. The construction has previously been hampered by Al-Shabaab interruptions including instances where Turkish engineers who are running the project were targeted previously in IED attacks.
