Mogadishu mayor vows to bolster security of the city

The governor of Benadir region and mayor of Mogadishu, Abdirahman Osman Yarisow has vowed to ensure the safety and security of the capital Mogadishu.

Yarisow who attended a ceremony to support the newly appointed governor of Wadajir district praised the community for the protection and security of their district.

The mayor also pledged to increase efforts at pacifying the city following several bomb attacks since the beginning of the year.

Security forces in Banadir region have been conducting security operations in Mogadishu over the past few months to ensure the security of the region.
