Mogadishu Mayor yarisow laid to rest in Mogadishu

The federal government of Somalia has on Sunday organized a national burial for the late Mogadishu mayor and the governor of Banadir region Abdirahman Omar Osman Yarisow who passed away last Wednesday at Qatar after he has sustained serious injuries from a suicide attack at his office in Mogadishu.

A jet carrying the body of the late Mogadishu’s Mayor, Eng Yarisow arrived from Doha in Aden Ade International airport Sunday early morning for State Funeral.

The late Govern Yarisow was today laid to rest at General Kahiye Police academy in the capital Mogadishu.

The burial ceremony was attended by Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, the Prime Minister Hassan Ali Kheire, his deputy Mahdi Guled, parliament speaker, other top government officials from both the federal and the states government of Somalia and his family members.
