Over fifty people are suspected to have been trapped under the rubble after Mosque in Garasbaaley locality collapses on worshipers due to the rains that pounded Mogadishu.
Locals are trying to remove debris. thirty injured people have been so far rescued.
A local resident who spoke to Goobjoog News said that there were up to 60 people at the Friday prayers mostly constriction workers.
“Rescuers have pulled thirty injured people from the rubble,” the local resident.
He added “We fear that there are still 10 to 15 more people under the concrete rubble.”
Recent rains have contributed to the collapse of the mosque and the accident happened when there is ongoing expansion and other construction work.
