MP Adan Mohammad Saransor: There is nothing called Upper-Bakol State
Somali federal MP Adan Mohmmad Adan “Saransor” who is leading with other MPs a reconciliation efforts between south-west state and the inhabitants of Elbarde district accused Inter-governmental Authority on Development “ IGAD” of playing big part on current stand-off.
At the end of December- a group of Somali MPs and elders formed new administration in protest of what they called “marginalization” from southwest president Sharif Sheikh Adan against people of Elbarde.
“IGAD is part of the conflict; the advisor of IGAD Hussien Abdi Halane(former Federal Finance minister) engineered this so called Upper Bakol Administration” said Adan Sarnsor while giving an Interview to Goobjoog News.
the MP also warned social unrest signs that could lead communal fights if not addressed appropriately by Somali MPs ” now we are trying to mediate between the residents of the Elbarde; tension is high now.”
In response to a growing protests from clans and sub-clans of the southwest state- it’s parliament assembly was added to 20 more MPS.
