MP Saredo re-emerges winner of HOP154 seat

GOOBJOOG NEWS/BAIDOA: The South West Elections Implementation Team has today held the re-election of HOP154 seat in Baidoa, the capital of Bay region.

Saredo Mohamed Abdalla re-emerged as the winner after she received an overwhelming vote by a show of hands from all the delegates present.  Her only rival contender, Nastexo Mohamed Yusuf withdrew from the race.

The HOP154 seat had been repudiated by the Federal Election Implementation Team in December 2021 after an underage candidate contested against MP Saredo, an act which violated election procedures.

Elections in the South West Administration have come to a wrap, with Saredo’s HOP154 seat being the last seat to be elected today in Baidoa.
