National Coalition Party accused government illegal curfew in the capital Mogadishu
In a statement released, the national coalition party led by the former president of Somalia Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed attributed the curfew in Mogadishu imposed by the federal government unlawfully.
“The coalition declares that the imposed curfew has not nun through the proper procedures outlined in the correct constitutional process Act (Article 131) of the federal government, therefore its illegal,” the statement said.
On the other hand, president Sharif expressed his condolences to the victims of the killings in Bondere district and called for the perpetrators to be brought to justice.
Finally, the Coalition called on the federal government to uphold the national principles and the country’s provisional constitution to be safeguarded.
The Somali government has imposed several alterations to the capital Mogadishu during the holy month of Ramadan and people are worried about the curfew following a massive protest in Mogadishu resulted by police brutality.
