New Play Zone Opens at Mogadishu Airport to Ease Travel for Families

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has opened a new children’s play area at Aden Adde International Airport, a move aimed at improving passenger comfort as the country upgrades its aviation facilities.

Transport Minister Mohamed Farah Nuh, who inaugurated the facility, said the play area is free of charge and designed to make travel easier for families with young children.

The addition forms part of broader efforts to raise service quality at the airport in line with international standards.

The project was funded and supported by SOS Children’s Villages, reflecting growing cooperation between the government and development partners to enhance public infrastructure.

The fully equipped play area is expected to improve the overall travel experience for passengers and visitors, reinforcing Somalia’s push to modernise key transport hubs.
