Nicholas Kay meets Puntland traditional elders
The special representative of United Nations for Somali Nicholas Kay met with Puntland traditional elders at Puntland development research Center (PDRC) on Monday.
Their meeting focused on the establishment of new administration for Central regions of Somalia that has created disagreement between the Federal government of Somalia and Puntland administration.
The spokesman of Puntland elders Garad Abdullahi Abdi Iid after the meeting told Goobjoog FM that Kay and the elders discussed in details the formation of the new administration in Central Somalia adding Nicholas Kay requested the meeting.
He stated that the Puntland elders will not agree the formation Galmudug and Mudug administration underlining that Puntland administration controls large areas in Mudug region.
This meeting comes a time when Kay met Puntland top leaders in Garowe after president Gaas cut ties with the Federal government.
