Nordic international Support officer survives bomb attack in Galkayo
At least two women have been injured after a car fitted with explosives detonated in Galkaio town according to a police officer in that town.
The owner of the car Mohamed Abdirahman Dhaban-Ad, who is believed to be intended target, survived the blast.
“The car detonated near the station of Radio Galkacyo, the owner was not inside during the blast but two pedestrians who happened to be near the car sustained injuries” Mohamed Osman who witnessed the incident said.
There is no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast which targeted the car of Mohamed Abdirahman Dhaban-ad, Nordic international Support officer.
This comes eight days after seven people, including four UNICEF employees were killed in an attack on UN minibus in Garowe, the capital administrative of Puntland State.
