On 15th June, Regional MPs Will Elect The President Of Somali Central State, Technical Committee chairlady
Technical committee of Somali central state formation has commented on the rising complains about the submitted by traditional elders who dissatisfied with the procedure of which the conference is scheduled to run.
The chairlady of Technical Committee, Halima Ismail aka Yarey speaking VOA Somali service, while in Adado town said that there are small people who concern about it and that they are ready to satisfy them in order to partake their sides on the state formation conference for Mudug and Galgadud regions the conference.
“Among what caused the disagreement is the delegates whose work is to select an interim regional assembly and ratify its regional charter” she said.
She noted that committee has already issued the roadmap and the procedures, underlines that the participators agreed upon that the delegates would debate and ratify regional charter then to proceed with the selection of an interim regional assembly.
Speaking about other issues that raised the disputes in the conference, Halima said that people have disagreed over the name that should be to the new state.
“Some say state should be named Gal-Mudug state while others claim that the state should be called Somali Central state but all those problems will be solved by the committee”
Finally she said that on 15th June, the delegates will elect the president and the vice w which will be followed by well organized inauguration ceremony which the president and the vice will be sworn in as de jure president and deputy president of Somali central state.
