One dead in IED blast in the outskirts of Mogadishu

Reports from Galmudug area in the outskirts of the capital Mogadishu are indicating that a landmine explosion targeting a military vehicle has killed one person.

The military truck is reported to have hit an improvised explosive device (IED) planted on the road. One person died and an unconfirmed number of people were injured.

The injured were rushed to hospitals within the area.

Witnesses told Goobjoog News the IED blast was targeted at government soldiers.

Government soldiers have immediately arrived at the scenes to carry out an operation.
