One person injured after police clash in Mogadishu
At least one person wounded in gun battle engaged by two groups of Somali government soldiers in Mogadishu.
More than half an hour of fighting has halted business activities in Hamar-Weyne market as movement of people and vehicles was curtailed.
Hamar-weyne district commissioner, Abdikadir Mohamed Abdikadir speaking to Goobjoog News has confirmed the brief fighting between the soldiers.
“One of Somali government soldiers injured after police from Somali police force (SPF) and the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) engaged in fighting in the district” said Hamar-weyne district.
There have been similar incidents in the past and the administration has called on SPF and NISA commanders to take action against those soldiers fighting within the civilian areas.
