Over 10 Killed in Road Accident in Northern Kenya

GOOBJOOG NEWS | GARISSA: Twelve people were killed after a Bus rammed into a trailer near katumba trading center on the Garissa-Mwingi highway in Nothern Kenya.

According to Police reports, the accident occurred when the bus rammed into a trailer that had stalled due to a mechanical breakdown.

The police report added that the bus driver, who was ferrying 50 passengers from Garissa to Nairobi, attempted to overtake an unknown motor vehicle which did not stop, prompting him to get back to his lane.

This, however, proved futile as the driver ended up ramming into a stalled trailer.

“As a result of the accident, 7 people have been confirmed dead on the spot while several others have been evacuated to various hospitals,” read part of the police report.
