Over 50 Al-Shabaab Militants Killed in Ongoing SNA Operations in Lower Jubba

GOOBJOOG NEWS | LOWER JUBBA: Over 50 Al-Shabaab militants have been killed in on-going operations conducted by the Somali National Army backed by the Dervishes forces of the Jubbaland administration in Lower Jubba.

Somalia’s Deputy Minister for Information Abdirahman Yusuf Al- Adalah said that the joint operations targeted various Al-Shabaab bases in the region which also led to the arrest of at least 20 militants and several areas in the region liberated.

“The federal government forces and the Jubaland Regional forces are chasing the Al-Shabaab militants for the fourth day in a row, more than 50 fighters have been killed, 20 others have been captured, and many areas have been liberated,” the Deputy Minister of Information said.

The Federal Government of Somalia has indicated that the operations will continue until all areas within the within the Jubbaland region are liberated from the militants.
